Style

Laurie is a documentary photographer meaning that he always captures images which best convey the stories, emotions and characters from every unique wedding day.
Reportage photography is more than just taking images when people are not looking, it is a style in which the photographer does not interfere with the day, stop the flow of events or ask people to pose. Instead the focus is on the couple and all that goes on during the day resulting in honest and genuine images captured with care and delicacy.
This kind of photography is timeless and will keep you coming back to the album year after year.

House for an Art Lover Wedding

House for an Art Lover Wedding
I recently had the pleasure of documenting a wedding at House for an Art Lover. With the recent fire of MacIntosh’s work in Glasgow I think many people have had a lot of information regarding his work and so I was really interested to see what treasures were there.

I actually spent all of my meal just looking in one room and was astonished at the sheer detail involved in everything, however the grounds and setting in general were just spectacular for the couple who were getting married.

Again I used the Fuji equipment here which enabled me to really get close without even being noticed.

This image is just lovely for me and embodies so much of what I adore about what I do. A real, genuine, emotional and story-telling moment that I saw, captured and vanished in a few seconds and being in that personal space without intruding is something that has taken me a while to get used to and to get good at, but it really is worth it when you see the different reactions; the bride is in sheer elation and the groom is just holding it together as he is very emotional. They have just been told they are now officially married and the moment is just there.
